Project Description
The Situation
This was a smaller house down in Lancaster, and the couple living there was going through an incredibly tough time. The wife’s mother had recently passed away, and shortly after, the husband got very sick. Taking care of the property just became too much for them to handle, and things fell behind quickly.
The Condition of the House

By the time they called us, the house had gotten into really rough shape. The photos speak for themselves—the attached garage was an absolute disaster zone, packed wall-to-wall with trash bags, old furniture, and random junk. Inside, the house honestly smelled awful. The bathrooms were stuck decades in the past, there was weird exposed plumbing right out in the open, and the yard was totally overgrown.
Why They Were Stuck
They had tried selling it to a few other people first. But those buyers took one look at the packed garage and the condition of the house and just wasted their time. The sellers were completely overwhelmed by their health issues. They didn’t have the physical energy to clean out a hoarded garage, let alone do the major updates needed to put it on the regular market. They just needed out.
How We Handled It
We don’t get scared away by a garage full of trash or a house that needs work. I told them we would buy it exactly as it sat—junk, smell, and all. We did a fast, 14-day cash closing. They took the money they needed for their next steps, and they didn’t have to clean out a single box, haul a single trash bag, or fix a pipe before handing over the keys.
The Outcome
Once the family was safely moved out and able to focus on their health, my team brought in the dumpsters. We cleared out all the junk, got rid of the smell, and completely remodeled the house top-to-bottom. We took a house that was a massive burden and turned it back into a great home, and the neighborhood was thrilled to see it cleaned up.
